After over 40 years of remarkable service to the education sector, we are proud to announce that Howard Jackson, CEO of Evaluate-Ed Ltd and Hub4Leaders, will be stepping back from full-time responsibilities at the end of April to pursue a new family venture.
Howard’s contribution to the education landscape is extraordinary: from founding successful education businesses like HCSS Education (now part of The Access Group), Hub4Leaders (TheSchoolBus) to leading initiatives with the DfE and founder and chair of the North West Bursar Group which became the NBA, then NASBM and today ISBL. His career has been built on empowering thousands of school leaders with practical, innovative tools to improve education for all.
At Evaluate-Ed, Howard’s vision and leadership led to the creation of our self-assessment and school improvement platform, now widely trusted by schools and MATs nationwide.
While Howard is retiring from day-to-day operations, we are thrilled he will continue in his role as Chairman, ensuring continuity, guidance, and oversight as we enter an exciting phase of expansion and enhancement. Our focus now is on maximising the value of our platform — refining and developing features that make a real difference to school and trust leaders — and delivering even greater support across the education sector. This transition comes at a pivotal time for the education sector, with Ofsted priorities evolving and fresh challenges ahead for school and trust leaders. We want to reassure you: Evaluate-Ed remains firmly focused on supporting schools and MATs to meet new and emerging
expectations with confidence.
We wish Howard every happiness and success in this next chapter. His legacy will continue to be at the heart of everything we do at Evaluate-Ed, and we look forward to welcoming him back regularly as Chairman and advisor.
